Mother of Ghanaian songstress Wendy Shay has dismissed rumors that the musician underwent surgery to achieve her curvy figure.
In an interview, she firmly stated that her daughter’s physique is natural and not the result of cosmetic procedures.
“She shakes what her mother gave her on stage, and I see nothing wrong with that. It is natural and not bought from Turkey,” she said.
Beyond defending her daughter’s body, she also cautioned young women not to blindly copy Wendy Shay’s daring stage outfits, stressing that they are purely for performance purposes and do not represent her off-stage personality.
“My daughter is not into nudity. She wears what she wears on stage because the craft demands it. Offstage, she is a very decent girl. That is the Wendy Shay young ladies should emulate,” she advised.
She further expressed pride in her daughter’s success, emphasizing that Wendy Shay uses her music to inspire and counsel.
For her, the true lesson in her daughter’s career is not about appearance but about determination, talent, and a commitment to positive influence.
