Renowned Nigerian pastor and philanthropist, Nike Adeyemi, has cautioned women against comparing their husbands to their pastors, warning that such actions could make their spouses feel inadequate.
In a recent social media post, Pastor Nike urged wives to honor and respect their husbands rather than placing their pastors on a pedestal.
“Do not intimidate your husband with how spiritual your pastor is. Honor your own husband. Don’t worship your pastor,” she advised.
Pastor Nike, the wife of Sam Adeyemi, Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, is widely known for her teachings on relationships, marriage, leadership, and personal development. Beyond her ministry work, she is the founder of the Real Woman Foundation, an organization dedicated to empowering women, promoting social justice, and supporting vulnerable women and children.
Through the foundation, she runs rehabilitation programs for abused women and shelters for victims of domestic violence, reinforcing her advocacy for family values and women’s rights.
Her message has sparked discussions on the balance between faith, marriage, and the role of spiritual leadership in personal relationships.
