Ghanaian rapper Kweku Smoke made a powerful international statement in London after delivering a high-energy headline performance that was amplified by surprise appearances from industry heavyweights Sarkodie and Shatta Wale.
The concert, held at Electric Brixton on Friday, May 29, 2026, was organised by Bizzle Entertainment in partnership with Kilimanjaro Live as part of ongoing efforts to expand the global reach of Ghanaian music.
The event marked Kweku Smoke’s first major headline show in the United Kingdom and attracted a lively audience made up of fans from both the Ghanaian diaspora and international music communities.
On stage, the rapper delivered an intense and engaging performance that highlighted his rising influence within Ghana’s hip-hop landscape and his growing appeal beyond the country’s borders.
The night reached its peak when multiple award-winning rapper Sarkodie and dancehall superstar Shatta Wale unexpectedly joined him on stage, creating a moment that electrified the crowd and became one of the most talked-about highlights of Ghanaian music performances in the UK this year.
The surprise collaboration underscored the growing unity and global ambition within Ghana’s music industry, as leading artistes increasingly share international platforms to expand their reach.
Organiser and Bizzle Entertainment CEO, Berny Sarfo, described the moment as a personal milestone and a fulfillment of a long-term vision to bring Ghana’s biggest stars together on international stages.
“In June 2022 I told my mom and dad I would play Shatta Wale and Sarkodie one day. Yesterday, May 29, it came to pass. GodDid in my dream is now a reality,” he shared on social media.
Mr. Sarfo noted that the successful staging of the concert demonstrated the power of collaboration between promoters, artistes, and international partners in elevating Ghanaian music onto global platforms.
Bizzle Entertainment, a Ghanaian-owned events company based in London, has built a reputation for organising large-scale African music events in the UK, consistently providing platforms for artistes to reach diaspora audiences.
The success of Kweku Smoke’s London debut adds to the company’s growing portfolio of international productions and reinforces its ambition to position Ghanaian music within major global venues.
Following the strong reception of the event, Bizzle Entertainment has indicated plans to expand its future projects, including preparations for a major concert featuring Sarkodie at London’s O2 Arena in the coming year.
The London showcase is widely seen as another step forward in the globalisation of Ghanaian music, highlighting the increasing demand for Afro-inspired sounds on international stages.
