Nollywood actress Sarah Martins has weighed in on the controversy surrounding TikTok creator Audrey Cyril’s relationship with Mr Presh, saying the allegations of infidelity would not change her decision to marry him.
Audrey’s relationship with Mr Presh has attracted attention after several women allegedly claimed they had romantic relationships with him while he was dating Audrey.
One of the women, identified as Oma, reportedly said her relationship with Mr Presh continued until January.
Despite the allegations, Martins said she would remain committed to the relationship if she were in Audrey’s position.
In a video shared on Instagram, the actress said she would proceed with the marriage even without believing that Mr Presh was perfect or that marriage would necessarily change his behaviour.
“Here is my two cents: if I were Audrey Cyril, I would go ahead with the marriage. I am not leaving my man, not because he is perfect, not because he didn’t do all the things the lady accused him of, not because he would cheat on our marriage, not because he would turn into a saint after the wedding,” she said.
Martins also introduced another dimension to her argument, saying she considered the possibility of a partner being attracted to both men and women a more painful form of betrayal.
“At least, he isn’t gay. The reason I’m going ahead with the marriage is that, with all the gossip flying around, I didn’t see where they said he was also doing men,” she said.
She added that some women had experienced the emotional pain of discovering that their husbands were involved romantically with both women and men.
“The deepest betrayal or heartbreak is having to fight for your husband against his fellow men,” Martins said.
Her comments have added another perspective to the ongoing public discussion surrounding Audrey Cyril and Mr Presh’s relationship, amid allegations whose details have continued to circulate online.
