Country music star Jelly Roll has filed for divorce from his wife, social media personality and podcast host Bunnie XO, marking a surprising turn in what many fans have long viewed as one of music’s most inspiring modern love stories.
Court records show that the Grammy-winning artist, born Jason Bradley DeFord, filed the petition in May in Williamson County, Tennessee, naming Alisa Andrea DeFord—known professionally as Bunnie XO—as the respondent.
The couple’s relationship has often been highlighted publicly for its unconventional beginnings and emotional resilience, with both parties openly sharing details of their struggles, reconciliation, and deep personal transformation over the years.
Jelly Roll has previously credited Bunnie XO with playing a major role in stabilising his life during difficult periods, including his past legal troubles and efforts to rebuild his career and family life, while she has also spoken about standing by him through challenges such as addiction recovery and personal setbacks.
The pair first met in 2015 at a concert in Las Vegas and later married after a whirlwind relationship that quickly drew public attention due to their candid storytelling and openness about their pasts.
Their marriage endured periods of strain, including a previously acknowledged separation linked to infidelity, though the couple later reconciled and often spoke publicly about overcoming hardship together.
Bunnie XO, known for hosting the Dumb Blonde podcast, also played a visible role in supporting Jelly Roll’s music career, especially as his success grew in recent years and his personal transformation became a major part of his public image.
As of now, representatives for both Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO have not issued public statements regarding the divorce filing.
