The Ghana Police Service has received a morale boost through music, as gospel musician Madam Grace Ashly presented a specially composed song celebrating the dedication and professionalism of police personnel.
The song, titled *“Ghana Police,”* was formally handed over on Friday, January 16, 2026. Madam Ashly explained that the composition was her way of acknowledging the daily sacrifices officers make to ensure public safety, particularly their visible presence during night patrols.
She said her frequent late-night travels had given her first-hand appreciation of the reassurance provided by police visibility, which inspired her to honour the Service through music. The song commends officers for their integrity, discipline and commitment to duty.
Receiving the song, Inspector-General of Police, Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, praised Madam Ashly for using her talent to uplift national institutions, describing her as a musician whose songs have consistently inspired hope and unity.
He noted that her motivational compositions, especially those associated with the Black Stars, had played a role in lifting national spirit during challenging moments, and suggested that her contributions deserved broader recognition.
Mr Yohuno said the song had energised officers across the Service and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to recognising and rewarding hard work. He stressed that promotions would be based on merit and dedication, assuring officers that commitment to duty would not go unnoticed.
He also expressed confidence that the Police Service would continue to improve security nationwide, urging officers to maintain high morale and live up to the expectations of the public.
The presentation highlighted the growing role of creative arts in strengthening national morale and supporting institutions tasked with safeguarding the country.
