Police in the Central Region have rescued 30-year-old Bismark Amoh who was allegedly kidnapped at Assin Fosu.
Bismark was kidnapped on Sunday, September 6, 2026. His abductors demanded GH¢45,000 and sent recordings to his family via WhatsApp showing him tied up and being assaulted.
The family raised GH¢19,500 from relatives , friends and well – wishers and paid, but the kidnappers refused to release him and demanded an extra GH¢30,500.
They threatened to kill him, burn his body and destroy his phones if the family failed to pay within 8 hours.
Police have since rescued him. He is currently receiving medical care while investigations continue to arrest the suspects.
