Eagles Hospitality Group, in partnership with NOVA Business School Africa, has launched the Eagles Hospitality School—an initiative aimed at revolutionizing workforce training in the tourism sector.
Speaking at the launch event, Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, emphasized the critical role of continuous staff training and capacity building in delivering world-class service.
“Ghana’s ambition to become a top global tourism destination hinges on a skilled and service-oriented workforce,” she said. “The hospitality industry must bridge existing gaps in customer care, leadership, and service delivery to remain competitive.”
The Eagles Hospitality School is designed to blend practical experience with theoretical knowledge, ensuring graduates are not only academically prepared but also job-ready to meet industry demands.
Christian Asante, President of Eagles Hospitality Group, expressed pride in seeing the project materialize after years of planning. He highlighted the school’s innovative approach that transforms hotel meeting rooms in Accra and Takoradi into dynamic training spaces, each accommodating up to 100 students per session.
“This is more than an academic institution; it’s a practical immersion center,” Asante said. “Graduates will emerge as hospitality professionals equipped to deliver excellence across West Africa.”
Dr. Edward Ackah-Nyamike, President of the Hotels Association of Ghana, lauded the initiative as a significant private sector contribution towards Ghana’s tourism growth, underscoring the importance of public-private collaboration in industry development.
The launch of the Eagles Hospitality School marks a new chapter in Ghana’s efforts to professionalize its hospitality workforce, foster entrepreneurship, and support the country’s broader economic development goals through quality service and innovation.
