Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, Founder and Leader of the Believers Worship Centre, has called on Ghanaian fathers to embrace their moral responsibilities as pillars of discipline and transformation in the family and society at large.
Delivering a televised sermon on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, the revered prophet used the occasion to challenge fathers across the country to become role models who actively shape their children into responsible citizens. According to him, effective fatherhood can play a vital role in addressing social ills such as crime, disobedience, and the erosion of communal values.
“If you train your child well and instill godly principles, you are not only helping your family—you are helping the nation,” he said. “Let us not pass on bitterness, corruption, or rebellion to the next generation. Let us teach love, patience, and honesty.”
Prophet Kyei-Duah stressed that fatherhood must go beyond financial provision to include emotional support, mentorship, and the creation of safe environments for children to grow into purposeful adults.
He linked these virtues to the Christian faith, urging fathers to place their trust in God and to lead their households in spiritual devotion. “Faith is not just a belief system—it is a lifestyle that molds hearts and transforms homes,” he stated.
While acknowledging the importance of Father’s Day as a global celebration, Prophet Kyei-Duah used the platform to shift focus from ceremonial appreciation to responsibility and nation-building, urging the government, churches, and civil society to invest more in family-focused interventions that support strong parenting.
His message resonated deeply with viewers, many of whom took to social media to share how his words inspired a renewed sense of purpose in their roles as fathers.
As Ghana continues to grapple with youth delinquency and moral decline, Prophet Kyei-Duah’s message stands as a timely reminder of the critical link between fatherhood, faith, and national renewal.
