QNET outlined its compliance and enforcement measures at the VCON Malaysia 2026 Media Webinar, reaffirming its zero tolerance for the misuse of its name in scams, misleading job offers, coercion, or illegal cross-border movement. The company revealed this at a QNET VCON Malaysia 2026 Media Webinar for Ghanaian journalists held on Tuesday 20th October, 2026.
The company said its business model is based on independent distributors promoting and selling products, with commissions earned from product sales, not recruitment. To reinforce that distinction and set clear standards for distributor conduct, QNET maintains a public compliance portal on its website that outlines its code of conduct and identifies prohibited “red line” offences.
Speaking at the successful webinar, QI Group’s Global Head of Public Relations and Communication, Marlene Kaur said, trust, in an independent sales network, could be earned through “continuous public education, enforcement and compliance.” The company has also introduced a Business 2U accreditation process, requiring independent distributors to undergo verification, meet regulatory requirements and receive authorisation before operating independent offices.
Also speaking at the Webinar, QNET’s Regional General Manager for West and Central Africa, Cherif Sarr, said, “QNET recorded 141 distributor terminations for non-compliance between 2025 and the time of the briefing. These included 26 accounts linked to facilitating false cross-border movement. The company also said it reported 158 cases to authorities and actively assisted more than 3,000 victims to return to their countries or families”.
QNET urged the public to report suspicious offices claiming to represent the company. It also pointed to its “QNET Against Scams” campaign, launched in August 2024, which provides education and reporting channels for suspected fraudulent schemes. The campaign has been implemented in Ghana, Sierra Leone and Senegal, with plans to deepen its reach and extend it to additional countries.
Social media influencer Zion Felix who travelled to the company’s Head Office in Malaysia this September to unravel the truth about QNET said: “My trip to Malaysia allowed me to see QNET beyond what I had heard or read,” He added that he had been sceptical before the visit, but that seeing the office, product gallery and company operations helped him better understand how QNET’s work may be misrepresented by others.
QNET said it intends to continue working with media and authorities to promote accurate reporting and protect the public from scams using its name.
Since 2022, QNET has invited journalists and social media influencers from across Africa to visit its Malaysia headquarters and attend VCON, the company’s signature global conference. These visits give participants an opportunity to learn more about QNET and share their insights with colleagues and the public. They are part of the company’s efforts to raise awareness of its business model, achievements and challenges.
