Ghanaian music legend Reggie Rockstone has officially reopened his establishment, Rockstone’s Office, following a devastating fire he attributes to “human error.” While the blaze caused significant financial damage, Rockstone emphasized that the safety of his staff was his top priority.
“The first thing was everybody good. I didn’t care about nothing. Nothing,” he shared in a recent interview on Joy Prime monitored by MyNewsGh. “Once I got clarification that everybody was good… there’s nothing that you can’t get back once you’re alive.”
Despite the setback, Rockstone expressed heartfelt gratitude for the support he received during the crisis. He singled out younger artists, particularly Kwaku Smoke, who personally reached out to assist financially. “He was like, ‘Yo, send me your momo,’” Rockstone revealed.
He also noted that while offers for crowdfunding through platforms like GoFundMe came in, much of the support came organically from loyal fans and everyday citizens rather than industry peers.
Rockstone’s experience underscores the power of community and the spirit of resilience. Even in the face of unexpected loss, the music icon’s determination to rebuild and move forward reflects his enduring influence and connection with both fans and the next generation of artists.
