Ghanaian rap heavyweight Sarkodie has announced a surprise new collaboration with dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, marking another major step in the renewed relationship between the two long-time industry rivals.
The track, titled Everlasting, features Sarkodie as the lead artiste with Shatta Wale appearing as a guest on the record.
The announcement has generated widespread excitement among fans, coming after years of public disagreements between the two musicians that at times played out through diss tracks and social media exchanges.
Their relationship, however, began to shift in 2025 when they shared the stage at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic Homecoming concert in Kumasi—a moment widely interpreted as a public reconciliation.
The pair have previously collaborated on several hits, including Dancehall Commando, Megyn Wo Girl, Fire Bon Dem Remix, and One Shot, reinforcing their history of successful musical partnerships despite past tensions.
The cover art for Everlasting shows the two artistes standing in a garage surrounded by luxury SUVs, including multiple Lamborghini Urus models in different colours. The imagery has sparked conversation among fans, especially given past public attention around Shatta Wale’s association with a yellow Lamborghini Urus that was later seized during investigations involving authorities in Ghana and the United States.
Despite the background discussions, anticipation for the new release remains high, with fans describing the collaboration as one of the most anticipated Ghanaian music drops in recent years.
Industry watchers say the joint project signals a continued easing of tensions and a renewed creative synergy between two of Ghana’s most influential contemporary music figures.
