Ghanaian musician Sista Afia has made it clear that she strictly separates her professional and personal life, emphasizing that she would never mix business with pleasure.
Speaking in an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz, the singer firmly ruled out the possibility of having a romantic relationship with her manager.
“Oh never ever. It will never happen to have an affair with my manager. It has never happened at my side. It will never happen. Work is work. I don’t know how to mix work with pleasure. It is very difficult for me. I’ve never tried it though but I feel like it won’t work,” she stated.
Despite her firm stance on work relationships, Sista Afia acknowledged that she would be open to a man supporting her career. However, she noted that many people assume she is already financially stable and overlook the fact that she may need assistance.
She also shared her preference for keeping her personal life private, revealing that she has successfully dated people without anyone knowing.
“You can be close to somebody that I’ve dated for years. You might not even know I’ve dated the person, unless I tell you,” she added.
Sista Afia further confirmed that she is signed under her own record label and currently has a manager handling her affairs, reinforcing her independent and focused approach to her music career.
