Ghanaian media executive and filmmaker Victoria Delali Dogbe has earned a place on the jury panel for the 2026 Black Star International Film Festival (BSIFF), adding another milestone to her growing influence in the country’s film and television industry.
The Head of Production at Channel One TV was named among the professionals selected to assess and celebrate outstanding cinematic works from Africa and other parts of the world during this year’s festival.
Announcing her inclusion on the panel, BSIFF organisers described Victoria as a creative professional with extensive experience in production and storytelling, whose contribution has helped shape Ghana’s entertainment landscape.
The festival noted that her understanding of authentic African narratives, combined with her technical expertise in television and film production, would strengthen the jury’s assessment of entries for the 2026 edition.
“Through her work, she continues to contribute significantly to the growth of Ghana’s film and television industry,” the organisers stated, adding that her creative perspective would support the recognition of exceptional filmmakers.
Victoria Delali Dogbe currently leads production activities at Channel One TV, where she oversees the creation and delivery of television content.
Beyond broadcast management, she has built a reputation as a filmmaker through projects such as The Blanksons, a Ghanaian family dramedy that explores relationships, ambition and everyday social experiences, as well as The Hairdresser’s, another production showcasing her storytelling abilities.
Her career also spans major film productions, having worked in various capacities including Production and Location Coordinator on Master & 3 Maids, Production Manager on Side Chic Gang, and part of the production team for the Ghanaian-Nigerian feature film One Night Guests.
Her selection for the BSIFF jury highlights the increasing recognition of Ghanaian creative professionals contributing to the growth of African cinema and the promotion of locally rooted stories on international platforms.
The 2026 festival is expected to bring together filmmakers, industry professionals and audiences to celebrate innovative storytelling and creative excellence across the continent and beyond.
