The Nduom School of Business and Technology (NSBT) is setting itself apart by emphasizing hands-on learning and industry immersion, with students actively participating in real-life projects—including the assembly of working television sets through attachments at GN Electronics.
At its second congregation and fourth matriculation ceremony held in Elmina, Central Region, NSBT showcased its commitment to producing graduates who are job-ready. The event highlighted how internships with companies under Group Nduom are helping students transition seamlessly from academic training into the workforce.
Chairman of the school’s governing board, Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, noted that NSBT takes practical experience seriously. “We prepare them to be productive after they leave here,” he said, adding that Group Nduom companies have been instructed to offer work placements to students as part of their academic development.
A recent milestone saw four NSBT students assemble 100 fully functional television sets, now available for sale. “These TVs are working and already being sold in Elmina,” Dr Nduom revealed, stating plans to expand the initiative despite recent challenges at GN Electronics.
In banking, he also hinted at reviving a stalled on-campus banking project once his revoked license is restored, offering students the opportunity to gain real-world banking experience.
The school, mentored by the University of Cape Coast, graduated 25 students from the 2023 and 2024 batches and welcomed 62 new students into various degree and diploma programmes. The ceremony also celebrated outstanding academic performances, including top awards won by Ms Constance Yvette Owusu and Mr David Malik Acquah.
NSBT’s Rector, Rev Prof Daniel Adjepong Nyarko, underlined the school’s ethical training standards and its compulsory French language curriculum, designed to prepare students for international opportunities.
With plans underway to gain a charter and become a full-fledged university, NSBT continues to position itself as a hub for industry-focused higher education.
