Mfantsipim School marked a significant milestone in its 150-year history with an unforgettable Awards and Fundraising Dinner held on Saturday, October 31, 2026. This event brought together distinguished alumni, invited guests, institutional partners, corporate leaders, and members of the Mfantsipim community to honor excellence and mobilize support for the school’s future.

The elegant evening celebrated the school’s rich heritage and its enduring contributions to Ghana’s educational and national development, as well as the achievements of generations of distinguished men reflecting the Mfantsipim spirit.

A major highlight of the occasion was the recognition of outstanding individuals and contributors whose exceptional achievements embody the values and traditions of Mfantsipim. Among the distinguished winners, Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of KGL Group, was honored with two prestigious awards: the Partner of Impact Award and a special category award recognizing his immense contributions to Mfantsipim. His commitment to supporting the school’s initiatives has made a lasting impact, exemplifying the leadership and service that the awards seek to celebrate.

Other notable award recipients included:
• Outstanding Teaching Staff: Mr. Solomon Kweku Afful
• Outstanding Non-Teaching Staff: Mrs. Constance Odur
• Education Impact Award: Kwame Dapaah-Afriyie MD
• Distinguished Alumnus – Academia & Research: Prof. Albert Kwadwo Adu Boahen
• Arts & Cultural Excellence: George Quaye
• Distinguished Alumnus – Public Service & Governance: Rt. Hon. Prof. Kofi Abrefa Busia
• Distinguished Alumnus – Business & Entrepreneurship: Mr. Frank Ivan Adama Tackie.

Beyond the celebration, the dinner served as an important fundraising initiative to support the school’s 150th-anniversary ambitions and long-term development priorities. The live auction featured elegant artworks, an exclusive release of 10 custom anniversary Caveman Watches, and a Collector’s Edition 150th Anniversary Anthology, all aimed at raising funds for the school’s legacy and infrastructure projects.

The evening also featured captivating performances from talented Ghanaian artists Sefa and Efya. Special recognition was given to KGL Group and Margins Group as the main sponsors of the event, with prominent guests including the Deputy Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Justice Srem-Sai, and the Okuapem Hene, Oseadeeyo Kwai Akuffo III.

As Mfantsipim marks 150 years of educational excellence, the Awards and Fundraising Dinner serves as a powerful reminder that the responsibility of preserving its legacy belongs to every generation. This celebration was not simply a tribute to the past but a renewed commitment to building an even stronger future.
