Grammy-winning afropop sensation Mr Eazi has unveiled “Casanova,” the latest single from his upcoming Maison Rouge EP, due this September via emPawa Africa. The track is accompanied by a cinematic music video shot in Barcelona, showcasing the artist’s flair for blending narrative storytelling with his signature sound.
Produced by TMXO (Ghana) and Kel-P (Nigeria), “Casanova” delves into the complexities of love, temptation, and self-awareness. The song reflects real-life moments of vulnerability, capturing the tension between desire and loyalty in modern relationships. Mr Eazi describes it as “honest in the most unfiltered way…Yes, I love women, but my heart is with you.”
The video, directed by Ademola Falomo—known for his work with Tems, Davido, and Joeboy—follows the story of a cab driver unexpectedly caught in a jealous wife’s crosshairs, combining humor, suspense, and romance in just two and a half minutes. Vibrant cityscapes, playful twists, and intimate close-ups mirror the song’s cheeky yet heartfelt tone.
Speaking on the visuals, Mr Eazi said, “I wanted the video to feel like a little movie with twists, laughs, and energy. Barcelona gave us the perfect mix of romance and chaos, and Demola captured that perfectly.”
“Casanova” was crafted at Hotel Maison Rouge in Cotonou, Benin—a creative haven that has also inspired his 2023 album The Evil Genius. The single follows “Corny” (July 2025) and “Attention,” his contribution to the summer blockbuster F1 soundtrack, continuing his exploration of love, honesty, and melodic storytelling.
The single is available now across all streaming platforms, with the music video premiering here
