Afro-dancehall heavyweight Stonebwoy has officially released his latest body of work, The Torcher EP, a nine-track project that highlights his versatility and growing dominance on the international music scene.
The project comes on the back of a busy global performance schedule that has seen him grace major stages such as the African Music Festival and Ruhr Reggae Summer Festival in Germany, the Reeds Festival in Switzerland, and the Dream WKND Festival in Jamaica. Industry watchers say the EP cements his reputation as one of Africa’s most consistent cross-continental performers.
Leading the EP is “GidiGidi (Fire),” already enjoying heavy rotation, while “Deeper” is quickly becoming a fan favorite thanks to its lyrical appeal. Stonebwoy also explores diverse sounds on the record, fusing trap influences in “Susuka” with Beeztrap and Yaw Tog, and celebrating indigenous rhythms in “Xosetor” alongside Agbeshie and Kenny Ice.
Other tracks such as “Send Dem A Prayer,” “Torcher,” “Samankudi,” and “Outside Lifestyle” complete what critics are calling a bold and refreshing soundscape.
The Torcher EP is Stonebwoy’s first major release since his UP & RUNNIN6 album, which racked up millions of streams globally. Analysts say the timing of the release is strategic, as it builds momentum toward the much-anticipated Bhim Festival set for December 2025.
With this project, Stonebwoy continues to blur the lines between Afrobeats, dancehall, trap, and indigenous African rhythms—solidifying his status not just as Ghana’s own, but as a global music export.
