Former Sol Campbell has expressed confidence that Arsenal FC will defeat Chelsea FC when the two sides meet at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, March 1, while also backing the Gunners’ bid for the Premier League title this season.
Campbell’s remarks came after Arsenal’s dominant 4–1 victory over rivals Tottenham Hotspur FC in the North London derby, a win that extended their lead at the top of the table. The Gunners currently hold a five-point advantage over second-placed Manchester City FC, who have played 27 matches with one game in hand under Pep Guardiola.
“A 4-1 win away from home, keep going, keep rocking, and we are going to get there. We are going to do it [win the Premier League title] this year,” Campbell told Metro UK.
Looking ahead to the upcoming clash with Chelsea, coached by Liam Rosenior, Campbell highlighted Arsenal’s recent success over the Blues in the EFL Cup semi-final, saying, “We have done [beaten] them in the cup, we can beat them again.”
The former England international’s comments reinforce growing optimism among Arsenal supporters, as the team aims to maintain momentum in both domestic league and cup competitions this season.
