An Accra Circuit Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of 49-year-old businessman Ussha Harun after he failed to appear in court for an alleged trespass case.
Harun, a building contractor and resident of Spintex in the Greater Accra Region, was served with a criminal summons but did not honour it. The prosecution informed the court that he had also been uncooperative with police investigations. The case has been adjourned to March 12, 2026.
The complainant, retired military officer Davies Essuman, who resides in Gbawe and holds power of attorney for Natalie Narki Nettey Marbell, alleged that Harun unlawfully entered a 0.290-acre property at Adjiringanor, which Marbell acquired in 1995. The property was fenced and secured in 2005, with a gate and security post installed by the complainant.
Prosecution revealed that about 20 unknown individuals recently broke into the property, prompting the complainant to report the incident to the Accra Regional Police Command on January 13, 2026. Police investigations subsequently led to Harun’s apprehension.
During the investigation, Harun denied the allegations, claiming the matter had already been addressed at the National Police Headquarters. However, further inquiries showed that he had not provided the requested documents or fully cooperated with the authorities.
The prosecution stated that Harun continued developing the land even after police instructed him to refrain from accessing the property, actions that allegedly interfered with ongoing investigations. He was subsequently charged and brought before the court.
The bench warrant aims to compel Harun to appear in court and face the allegations of trespass on the Adjiringanor property.
