Football fans attending Ghana’s crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier against Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium will have to revert to purchasing physical tickets, as the National Sports Authority (NSA) has temporarily suspended its e-ticketing platform.
The decision marks a shift from Ghana’s digital ticketing initiative, first introduced in 2022 during the Black Stars’ World Cup playoff match against Nigeria. Despite initial optimism, the system has faced persistent challenges, including verification failures, internet connectivity issues, and general inefficiencies.
With just days to the match, the NSA has yet to disclose designated ticket sales points, raising concerns about possible congestion at the stadium gates.
The game, scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2025, at 7 PM, is crucial for Ghana’s qualification hopes.
Ticket Prices for Ghana vs. Chad:
- VVIP: GH₵200
- VIP: GH₵150
- Lower VIP: GH₵100
- Osu Stand: GH₵20
- Popular Stand: GH₵10
While the return to paper tickets may address the e-ticketing issues, fans will be hoping for a smooth purchasing process and an efficient entry system on match day.
