Ghanaian singer Cina Soul has revealed that when it comes to marriage, she desires a partner outside the entertainment industry. While many might assume that an artist would naturally pair with someone from the same creative space, the “Ojorley” hitmaker believes that a relationship with someone from a different profession would bring balance and excitement to her life.
Speaking on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning as she promoted her debut album Did I Lie, Cina Soul explained that she is already immersed in the entertainment world and would love to experience life through a fresh perspective.
“I feel like artiste to artiste is someway. It could work for some people but for me, I want someone with a different story. I want us to come back home and talk about things like, ‘How was the hospital?’ ‘Oh, how was court?’ ‘How was the bank?’ Not every day, ‘Okay, the studio.’ We’ll all talk about the same thing. So I just want something different,” she shared.
She dismissed concerns that being with someone outside the creative industry might be dull, instead insisting that such a relationship could be even more interesting.
“I don’t think it will be boring. You’ll have so many stories. I think he’ll be like, ‘This person did this and then I saved a life…’ I feel it will be very interesting,” she added.
For Cina Soul, love and marriage should be about growth, new experiences, and the joy of sharing different perspectives—proving that sometimes, opposites do attract.
