Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur D-Black has set the record straight on the kind of woman he prefers, debunking misconceptions about his personal life and professional relationships.
Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo mid-morning show with Nana Romeo, D-Black, known as the Enjoyment Minister, revealed that despite his public image, he is more attracted to traditional, career-oriented women rather than the flashy personalities often seen around him at parties, clubs, or on social media.
“My type of woman is very different,” he stated. “You should see the mother of my kids—she’s a doctor. She has never worn cosmetic nails. I’m very much into the traditional woman. There’s a perception that because of my lifestyle, I’d be into flashy, superstar women, but I actually prefer the opposite—quiet, calm, collected, professional women. I’m attracted to nurses, doctors, soldiers, police officers, and government officials—simple women who aren’t too out there.”
D-Black also dismissed allegations that he had inappropriate relationships with female artistes signed to his Black Avenue Musik (BAM) record label. He emphasized that his interactions with artistes like S3fa and Nina Ricchie have always been strictly professional.
“The thing is, I don’t manage the female artistes directly. I don’t manage any artiste. There’s always someone handling that on my behalf. So I’m not in constant contact with them or involved in their day-to-day affairs,” he explained.
Addressing rumors that he engages in inappropriate activities with his signees or facilitates such encounters for others, D-Black was firm in his response.
“I’ve never touched anybody that I’ve signed. Never. Sexually. Never ever,” he stressed.
As a businessman and record label executive, D-Black maintains that his focus remains on building his brand and supporting talents without any personal entanglements.
