Ghanaian songstress Efya has opened up about her broader aspirations beyond just commercial success, revealing that her journey in the music industry is driven by more than just hit songs and awards.
Speaking on Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo with Nana Romeo, the “Best in Me” hitmaker shared her vision of creating a lasting legacy that extends far beyond the stage.
“I’ve not succeeded to the level I desire,” she admitted, adding that her goals stretch far beyond financial milestones like the elusive “US$10 million” she is still chasing.
For Efya, true success lies in making a meaningful impact on her community and the next generation of artists.
“One of my biggest dreams is to build a music school,” she said. “I want to do so many things that will benefit my community, and to do that, I need to reach a certain financial level. That’s why I’m still working hard, to make all these dreams come true.”
After nearly two decades in the industry, the award-winning vocalist remains committed to pushing her craft to new heights. She has her sights set on a world tour and performing on even bigger stages, driven by the desire to leave a lasting imprint on global music.
“I still have dreams that I want to capture. I’m very young and vibrant, and energetic. My legs are working; my hands are working,” she declared, hinting that her best work may still lie ahead.
As Efya continues to evolve as an artist, her focus remains on creating a legacy that extends beyond her own success, inspiring a new generation of musicians to dream bigger and aim higher.
