The Ghana Education Service (GES) has disbursed funds to all senior high and technical schools across the country to support practical examinations for the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
In a statement signed by the Head of Public Relations, Mr Daniel Fenyi, the Service said the allocation is intended to ensure that all required materials and logistics for the practical papers are adequately provided.
According to the GES, the payment is part of measures to guarantee a smooth and well-organised examination process while allowing candidates to concentrate on their academic preparations without additional financial pressure on parents and guardians.
The Service added that it will closely monitor the use of the funds to ensure accountability and proper adherence to examination guidelines across all participating schools.
GES expressed appreciation to stakeholders in the education sector for their continued cooperation, reiterating its commitment to maintaining quality standards and creating a supportive environment for students to perform effectively in the upcoming examinations.
