The 2026 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards has taken its nationwide celebrations beyond Accra, with Winneba in the Central Region hosting the first stop of the highly anticipated tour.
The tour officially began on Saturday, August 15, with a vibrant Pub Fest at Tempest Lounge, drawing more than 1,200 music lovers, students, DJs and nightlife enthusiasts for a night of entertainment and celebration.
The festivities started with a colourful street float through the principal streets of Winneba, accompanied by energetic cultural performances that signalled the opening of the Pub Fest.
The procession attracted residents and music enthusiasts before the celebrations moved to Tempest Lounge, where the venue was transformed into a hub of music and nightlife.
Among the DJs who thrilled patrons were DJ Raya, DJ Scratch, DJ Bliss and reigning DJ of the Year, DJ Sly King.
MC Kilson of Nyce FM and MC Shongee also kept the crowd entertained throughout the night, helping to sustain the high-energy atmosphere as Winneba embraced the event’s “All Out” theme.
The nationwide tour is part of the official build-up to the 2026 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, scheduled for Friday, December 4, at the Palms Convention Centre.
Organised by Merqury Republic and powered by Smirnoff, the tour seeks to bring the awards experience closer to audiences across the country while creating platforms for DJs and other creatives outside Accra to showcase their talents.
According to the organisers, taking the celebrations to different regions is intended to deepen the connection between the awards, local nightlife communities and the wider Ghanaian music audience.
The “All Out” campaign encourages DJs, creatives and fans to push their limits, bring their energy to the entertainment scene and celebrate the individuals contributing to Ghana’s vibrant music and nightlife industry.
Following the successful launch in the Central Region, the tour will move to Takoradi in the Western Region for its next stop.
With several more activations expected across the country, the 2026 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards is positioning its nationwide tour as a major platform for promoting DJ culture, discovering regional talent and building momentum towards the December awards ceremony.
