Men, ‘Price Me Wrong’ — Ama Burland Speaks on Dating Struggles
Media personality Ama Burland has pushed back against perceptions that her dating life is driven by money, revealing that many men disqualify themselves before she even gets to know them.
Speaking on Okay FM, she said while she receives attention from admirers, most assume she is “too expensive” to date—an idea she strongly rejects.
According to her, these assumptions often create unnecessary barriers to genuine relationships.
“Some men tell me they are interested but feel they cannot afford me. I ask them if I am a commodity,” she said, questioning why her lifestyle is used as a measure of her expectations.
She recounted an instance where a man judged her based on appearance alone, claiming he could not afford her because of the perceived cost of her hair.
Despite these experiences, Ama Burland insists her preferences are not tied to wealth but to connection and mindset. She explained that she values ambition and authenticity over financial status, noting that she would accept a hardworking partner she genuinely connects with.
The media personality added that even she cannot clearly define her ideal partner, emphasizing that emotional and spiritual compatibility matters more than material considerations.
She believes many men limit their chances by making assumptions instead of approaching her with confidence, stressing that true connection cannot be bought.
