Nollywood star Nancy Iheme is stepping boldly into her power, making it clear she’s done settling for anything less than she deserves — on and off the screen.
In an unfiltered conversation, the actress opened up about her journey through heartbreak, betrayal, and self-rediscovery, offering a powerful reminder that strength often grows from pain.
“I’m a relationship person. Once someone grabs me, they don’t want to let go,” she shared. But that loyalty has limits. In a bold move, Nancy recently ended a relationship — on Valentine’s Day no less — after realizing her ex lacked the emotional maturity she needed.
“He acted like a child. Every day, quarrels. You want to know where I am, but you don’t want to tell me where you are. Are you not crazy?” she said bluntly.
Nancy doesn’t chase love — she chooses it, and if it doesn’t serve her, she walks away.
“I’m a sweet fine girl. Nobody dumps me—I dump men. I said it with my full chest,” she declared.
The actress revealed that losing her mother reshaped her perspective on life and love.
“That was my last heartbreak. Since then, no man can bring me wahala. Life is too precious,” she said.
While she still believes in romance, Nancy’s version of love is now peaceful, supportive, and drama-free. “I love sweet men — men who don’t stress you. No pressure, no endless ‘Have you eaten?’ texts when I’m fasting since I met you,” she joked.
Reflecting on her early days, she recalled how a boyfriend helped her stand on her own feet, renting and furnishing an apartment for her while she was still in school. But betrayal soon followed — not from him, but from a jealous friend who crossed boundaries behind her back.
Still, Nancy held her head high. “She didn’t snatch anything useful. I was still collecting my gifts. I know how to follow my man and collect my own. She collected rubbish,” she said with a smile.
Today, Nancy moves differently. She keeps her circle small, her loyalty strong, and her standards high.
“If I come out of a relationship, I take time to heal. But I’m a baby girl. I like attention. I’m loyal. I tell my man where I am, what I’m doing—no secrets. But don’t try to play me. I will notice and I will leave,” she warned.
Nancy Iheme’s message is clear: love is beautiful, but self-love comes first — and in her world, the real glow-up starts within.
