Bice Osei Kuffour, widely known as Obour, has resigned as the Managing Director of Ghana Post after serving for two years. His departure marks the end of a tenure focused on digital transformation, operational improvements, and financial sustainability within the state-owned postal service.
Obour, who assumed office on January 4, 2022, officially announced his resignation on March 12 via Facebook, reflecting on the strides made under his leadership. He credited his administration with enhancing Ghana Post’s brand visibility, improving efficiency, and steering the company toward a more customer-centric approach.
Expressing appreciation for the opportunity to serve, he thanked former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for entrusting him with the role. He also extended gratitude to Communications and Digitalisation Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Board of Directors, and the staff of Ghana Post for their support during his tenure.
“As I step down to explore new opportunities, I deeply appreciate the collaboration and dedication of Hon. Ursula Owusu, the Board, and the hardworking team at Ghana Post. Their efforts have been crucial in driving the company forward,” he stated.
Obour’s next career move remains undisclosed, but his resignation signals the end of a leadership phase that sought to modernize Ghana’s postal services.
