The people of Oti Region are celebrating one of their own, Mr. Francis Gesaloge Boyesa Okoro, whose appointment as Senior Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer at the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has sparked joy and admiration across the region.
Social media platforms have been flooded with congratulatory messages from residents, community leaders, and colleagues, all hailing his achievement as a source of pride for the region. In Krachi East and beyond, many described his success as proof that dedication and resilience can propel individuals from underserved communities to national recognition.
“This is not just Mr. Boyesa’s victory, it is a win for Oti Region,” said a youth leader in Krachi East. “His rise shows our young people that with hard work, one can break barriers and be recognized at the highest levels.”
Mr. Boyesa, who previously served as Oti Regional Disability Desk Coordinator, has been praised for his tireless work in advancing disability inclusion and improving access to public health programmes. His transition to a senior national role is being seen by many as an inspiration for professionals across the region.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Mr. Boyesa himself acknowledged the outpouring of support, thanking his mentors, including the local Member of Parliament, for believing in him. “This opportunity has put a nice smile on my face,” he wrote, adding that it was a reminder of how mentorship and community backing can shape careers.
Beyond the personal achievement, community leaders say his appointment reinforces the importance of Oti’s contributions to national development. “When one of us rises, it reminds the country that Oti is full of talent and promise,” noted a local assembly member.
As Mr. Boyesa prepares to assume his new role at the NHIS, the Oti Region is holding him up as a role model for youth—proof that their aspirations, too, can find expression on the national stage.
