Big Brother Naija season seven winner, Phyna, has opened up about an apparent strain in her relationship with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, attributing it to a social media interaction involving popular online commentator Verydarkman.
Speaking during a recent Twitch livestream, Phyna explained that the change in their relationship became noticeable after she reacted to a post by Verydarkman at a time when he was reportedly at odds with Iyabo Ojo. According to her, she responded to what she believed was a misleading statement made by the social media personality, without anticipating any fallout.
The reality TV star said the aftermath of that comment appeared to affect how Iyabo Ojo related to her online. She noted that the actress, who previously engaged with her posts through likes and comments, suddenly stopped interacting with her content.
Phyna further disclosed that Iyabo Ojo has since unfollowed her on social media, a move she believes is directly connected to her response to Verydarkman’s post. While she expressed regret over the situation, she admitted it is something she feels she has to live with.
Despite revealing the development, Phyna did not state whether she has made any effort to reach out privately to Iyabo Ojo to clarify or resolve the issue.
Phyna, whose real name is Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, gained national recognition after winning the 2022 edition of Big Brother Naija, becoming the first female housemate to clinch the title without receiving a strike. Since her victory, she has remained active in the entertainment space as a brand influencer, entertainer, and public figure.
