An alleged bandit threatening to commence attacks on churches has been arrested by the police.
This was after the Police Intelligence Directorate (PID), Accra on April 5, 2026, intercepted a viral video on social media dubbed : ” We are starting from Ghana churches”
A police report said the video was done by Evans Pupulampu, 22- year – Old suspect at Ashiaman Community 22.
During interrogation, the suspect admitted to being the individual in the video.
He stated that he had copied a similar trending post on social media for fun and did not intend to cause harm or panic.
Police retrieved a Samsung Galaxy A 15 mobile phone believed to have been used to record and post the video.
The device has been kept as evidence. Authorities say investigations are ongoing and have urged the public to refrain from sharing content that could incite fear or disrupt public order.
