Prudential Bank Limited (PBL) says customer loyalty and strong leadership have been the backbone of its success, after the institution and its Managing Director, Bernard Gyebi, swept two top honours at the 5th National Governance and Business Leadership Awards in Accra.
The Bank emerged winner of the Customer Happiness Leadership Award – Banking category, while Mr. Gyebi received the coveted title of Transformational Banking CEO of the Year, 2025.
In his reaction, Mr. Gyebi dedicated the honours to the Bank’s customers, stressing that their trust and loyalty had been pivotal to PBL’s steady growth.
“These awards are testaments to our commitment to delivering on our brand promise of being truly dependable and customer-focused. We dedicate them to our valued customers, without whom this recognition would not have been possible,” he said.
The event, organised by The Governance & Business Boardroom, publishers of The Boardroom Magazine, celebrates institutions and individuals driving corporate governance excellence, sustainability and innovation.
A team from Prudential Bank, including Executive Head of Retail and Commercial Banking, Ebow Quayson, and Executive Head of Corporate and Institutional Banking, Edward Commey, received the awards from Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff, who represented the Chief of Staff as guest of honour.
Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo applauded winners for strengthening institutions that create jobs and attract investment, while emphasising that government-private sector collaboration was critical to resilient economic growth.
PBL, established in 1996 and guided by its “Truly Dependable” brand promise, has built a reputation for customer-focused service delivery and innovation. In recent years, the Bank has also received recognition from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA), and KPMG, among others.
