Gospel singer Selassie Brown has unveiled her latest album, My Compensation, a spiritually uplifting project that reflects on faith, resilience, and God’s promises of divine reward.
The ten-track album, which took nearly two years to complete, is deeply rooted in biblical teachings, particularly the message of Isaiah, which speaks of receiving double blessings for every hardship.
INSPIRATION BEHIND THE ALBUM
Speaking on Asaase Radio’s Artsy, Selassie Brown shared that My Compensation is a testimony of unwavering faith and perseverance. The album serves as a reminder that those who dedicate themselves to God through service, fasting, and faithfulness will experience His rewards.
“This album is a message of hope,” she said. “God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him, and I want listeners to be reminded that their faithfulness will not go unnoticed.”
POWERFUL COLLABORATIONS AND DIVERSE SOUNDS
The album features a blend of contemporary gospel, traditional Pentecostal praise, and even reggae-infused worship. It includes four collaborations, most notably with Nigerian gospel artist Ema Onyx, known for You Carry Me. Other featured artists include Akese Brempong and KobbySalm, adding diversity to the album’s sound and appeal.
Selassie Brown credited her manager for securing these collaborations, ensuring that each track resonates deeply with listeners.
SONGS TO INSPIRE AND UPLIFT
Among the standout songs on My Compensation are Blessing Alert, Miracle Working God (offered in both an original and reggae version), and Hallelujah, a lively praise song perfect for celebrations, including weddings and thanksgiving services.
“Hallelujah is a song of testimony,” she explained. “Whenever there is good news, this is the song to sing.”
A MULTIFACETED ARTIST ON A MISSION
Beyond her music career, Selassie Brown is also a television host, producer, and voice-over artist, using her platform to spread the gospel in creative ways. She describes My Compensation not just as an album but as an evangelism tool meant to bring people closer to God and inspire gratitude.
As she embarks on promotional efforts, Selassie Brown expressed gratitude to her management team, Gold Legacy Music, as well as the featured artists and industry professionals who contributed to the project. She also extended her appreciation to Asaase Radio for providing a platform to share her music with a wider audience.
With My Compensation, Selassie Brown hopes to impact lives and reaffirm the message that faithfulness to God always yields divine rewards.
