Ghanaian socialite Sexy Afrah has revealed the deep regret she now feels after abandoning her British husband only three weeks into their marriage to pursue a romantic relationship with her Ghanaian lover, Achipalago.
According to Afrah, the decision—made against the advice of her family—was fueled by promises of a “better life” from Achipalago, who convinced her that true happiness could only be found with him.
“I cheated on my husband even before I went to the UK,” Afrah confessed. “While I was there, I was in constant communication with my Ghanaian lover, who promised me heaven on earth. He told me to leave my husband because he could take better care of me.”
Despite her mother’s strong objections, Afrah insisted on leaving her marriage. She admitted to even threatening self-harm to pressure her family into supporting her decision to return to Ghana.
Her lover further encouraged her to sever ties with her relatives as a step toward “moving forward in life,” a choice she now acknowledges has left her emotionally isolated.
Now back in Ghana, Afrah says reality has begun to set in, and she is questioning whether her decision to abandon her marriage and family support system was the right one.
