After enduring over a decade of harsh learning conditions, students of Soliga Junior High School in the Nabdam District of the Upper East Region now have a renewed educational environment.
For years, classes were held in a crumbling mud-structure built by the community in 2016, after students were previously forced to study under a Baobab tree due to the lack of a proper school building. Despite repeated pleas from parents and teachers to the local Assembly and government, the deteriorating facility remained unchanged, affecting both academic performance and student morale.
The long-standing challenge was finally addressed when Member of Parliament Dr. Mark-Kurt Nawaane stepped in to provide the school with a new classroom structure. His intervention has significantly improved learning conditions and restored hope to both students and teachers.
The new facility is expected to create a conducive environment for education, offering students a better chance at academic success and personal development.
