Victoria Dzeklo has pledged to support the Ghana Red Cross Society with office accommodation to strengthen its humanitarian work in the district.
The assurance came when officials of the South Tongu branch paid a courtesy call on the District Chief Executive at her office in Sogakope to congratulate her on her appointment.
Led by Deborah Agbovi, the delegation used the visit to reaffirm the Society’s commitment to supporting health, safety and community welfare initiatives across the district.
Ms Agbovi said the branch remained active in first aid training, blood donation campaigns and community health outreach programmes, and was prepared to work closely with the Assembly.
The delegation also invited the DCE to the 2026 World Red Cross Day 2026 celebration in Accra under the theme, “United in Humanity.”
Ms Dzeklo praised the Red Cross for its role in disaster response, health delivery and community resilience, noting that humanitarian organisations remained important partners in local development.
Both sides expressed confidence that stronger cooperation between the Assembly and the Red Cross would improve support for vulnerable residents in the district.
