The 2025 National All Leavers Summit (NALS), organised by the Schools Outreach Ministry (SOM) of the Church of Pentecost (COP) in collaboration with the Scripture Union (SU) and the Pent Media Centre (PMC), has been hailed as a growing nationwide platform for shaping the values and future of Ghanaian youth.
Held simultaneously at more than 130 centres across the country, the summit brought together thousands of young people who recently completed the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) to celebrate their academic milestones while preparing for life’s next phase.
Pastor Frank Mensah Tandoh, National Coordinator of SOM, said the initiative, introduced last year, had already become a key fixture on the Ministry’s calendar. “It is not just a celebration but a movement to nurture, guide, and empower our young people. We want them to embrace discipline, morality, and faith as tools to face the challenges ahead,” he explained.
He emphasized that indiscipline among young people was becoming widespread, a trend that required urgent attention. “Education was once built on strong foundations of principles and morality, but those pillars are weakening. This summit seeks to reintroduce those values and provide mentorship through fellowships such as SU and PENSA,” Pastor Tandoh added.
Rev. Dr. Felix Klutse, Director of the Pent Media Centre, said the summit underscored the belief that education was more than facts and figures—it was about shaping character and vision. He reminded the youth that their lives were part of God’s divine plan and urged them to be “heavenly conscious and earthly relevant.”
The organisers said NALS also connects participants to discipleship groups and mentorship networks to ensure continuous personal, spiritual, and moral development.
With thousands of students reached nationwide, NALS is gradually positioning itself as a permanent platform for Ghana’s post-exam youth, blending celebration with character-building and preparing the next generation for responsible citizenship.
