The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) administration has permanently prohibited five former students from entering campus following repeated disruptions to university operations.
The individuals—Bernard Boadi, Francis Tutu Atuahene, John Kelvin Kane, Roland Botwe Nsiah, and Felix Acquah—were dismissed in 2025. Despite their expulsion, the university says they continued to loiter on campus, creating disturbances that threatened the safety and order of the academic community.
In a statement released by the University Relations Office and signed by Deputy Registrar Dr Daniel Norris Bekoe on March 13, 2025, KNUST emphasized that the ban is permanent and aimed at safeguarding the well-being of students, staff, and campus operations.
The statement further warned that any attempts to defy the directive would result in legal action, underscoring the university’s commitment to upholding discipline and security.
KNUST reaffirmed its dedication to providing a peaceful and conducive environment for teaching, learning, research, and community engagement, reiterating that campus safety remains a top priority.
