President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on a nationwide tour across all 16 regions beginning today, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening direct engagement with citizens and traditional authorities.
According to a statement from the Presidency, the tour will kick off in the Bono Region, where the President will spend two days—from March 18 to March 19—interacting with local communities.
The visit is expected to go beyond the inspection of ongoing development projects, placing emphasis on dialogue and feedback. The Presidency indicated that the tour will create a platform for chiefs and residents to share their views on government policies and initiatives, allowing the President to assess their impact at the grassroots level.
The nationwide exercise forms part of efforts to deepen participatory governance, as President Mahama seeks to align his administration’s development agenda with the needs and expectations of the people.
