The Atwima Mponua District Directorate of Education has launched a five-day examination clinic to equip final-year Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates with the skills and confidence needed to excel in their upcoming exams.
The initiative, which is taking place across 14 centers in the district, is preparing over 3,109 students—comprising 1,567 boys and 1,542 girls—from 105 public and 18 private schools for the May 2025 BECE.
The District Director of Education, Mrs. Ama Adwubi Asafu-Adjaye, emphasized the importance of dedication, discipline, and strategic preparation in passing the exam, describing the BECE as a crucial stepping stone to senior high schools, technical institutions, and STEM education.
She encouraged candidates to obey instructions, apply the lessons taught by their teachers, and remain focused on their future goals, warning against any misconduct that could jeopardize their academic progress.
The clinic is designed to instill effective study habits, time management skills, career guidance, and subject-specific strategies to help candidates approach the exams with confidence.
Mr. Samuel Appiah Mills, Deputy Education Director in charge of Finance and Administration, who led discussions during the session, commended both students and teachers for their commitment and discipline.
He highlighted the importance of academic preparation and personal responsibility, stressing that excelling in the BECE would open doors to higher education and better career opportunities.
As the May 2025 BECE approaches, education authorities in Atwima Mponua are hopeful that this initiative will enhance student performance and improve overall pass rates in the district.
