Dr. Amina Achiaa Asiedu Amoah, Proprietress of Jesus Cares School in Obuasi, has urged students to harness social media purposefully, framing the digital age as an opportunity for learning, research, and professional networking rather than a threat.
Her remarks came during the school’s 25th anniversary celebration themed: “Academic and Moral Excellence for Holistic Development of the Learner in the Era of Social Media.” Dr. Amoah emphasized the role of educators, parents, and the community in fostering holistic student development.
The event also celebrated long-serving staff and outstanding students. Notably, Mr. Paul Adjei, known as Sir Paul, was recognized as Best Teacher for 25 years of dedicated service. In a gesture of appreciation, CEO Eugen Kofi Amankwa announced he would fully sponsor a travel passport and provide GH₵1,000 to support Sir Paul’s travels, highlighting the importance of tangible recognition for educators.
The celebration underscored the school’s commitment to integrating modern technology with traditional educational values while honoring those who have contributed to its legacy.
