The Help Start Education Foundation has donated computers, learning materials, and a $35,000 financial package to Kwaso Presbyterian Junior High School in the Ejisu Municipality, aiming to enhance educational outcomes and bridge the digital divide.
As part of the initiative, the Foundation inaugurated a fully equipped Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre featuring modern amenities such as ceiling fans and air conditioning, designed to create a conducive learning environment.
Speaking after the handover, Mr. Stephen Appiani Junior highlighted the organisation’s commitment to equipping students with practical digital skills essential for the 21st century. He appealed to the community to support education initiatives that foster technological competency among youth.
The school’s Headmaster, Reverend Yaw Owusu, expressed gratitude, noting that prior to the ICT centre, lessons were limited to theoretical instruction due to a lack of facilities. He emphasised that the new centre would significantly improve teaching, learning outcomes, and readiness for future technology-driven careers.
Nana Osei Fosu Adutwum, the community chief, commended the Foundation for its investment, urging students, school authorities, and residents to ensure proper use and maintenance of the facility to sustain long-term benefits.
The project forms part of the Foundation’s broader mission to promote quality education in underserved communities and empower students with skills vital for modern economic participation.
