Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, is set to provide an update on the government’s anti-corruption efforts under the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) initiative at a media briefing today, Monday, March 24.
The announcement was made by Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, in a social media post, signaling the government’s commitment to tackling corruption and holding perpetrators accountable.
The upcoming briefing follows the submission of the ORAL Committee’s report to President John Dramani Mahama in February, which revealed over 2,000 complaints of suspected corruption cases across various sectors. The findings have prompted swift action, with the President directing Dr. Ayine to initiate thorough investigations and take necessary legal steps to recover stolen state assets.
President Mahama has reaffirmed his administration’s stance against corruption, declaring that Ghana will no longer serve as a safe haven for individuals engaged in fraudulent activities. As the government intensifies its crackdown, today’s media briefing is expected to outline key developments, ongoing probes, and measures being taken to strengthen accountability and transparency.
