Unilever Ghana PLC has reported a strong financial performance for the 2025 financial year, recording a significant increase in profit and rewarding shareholders with a final dividend of GH¢1.00 per share.
The company’s profit rose to GH¢96 million in 2025, up from GH¢58 million the previous year, reflecting improved business performance and stronger market conditions. Shareholders approved the dividend payout of GH¢62.5 million at the company’s 52nd Annual General Meeting, with payments scheduled for July 6, 2026.
The results were supported by a strong cash position of GH¢210 million, providing the company with sufficient liquidity to fund shareholder returns while maintaining investments in future growth.
Board Chairman Charles Nimako said Unilever Ghana remains focused on balancing shareholder rewards with strategic reinvestment in the business. He noted that the company has consistently increased its dividend over the years and intends to continue that trend as earnings and cash generation improve.
According to him, part of the company’s cash reserves will be retained to support capital expenditure, operational improvements and other growth initiatives aimed at strengthening long-term competitiveness.
Managing Director Chris Wulff-Caesar attributed the company’s performance to a more stable economic environment and the strength of its leading consumer brands. He explained that business stability enables companies to plan effectively, execute growth strategies and deliver value to shareholders.
He highlighted key brands including Pepsodent, Vaseline, Lifebuoy, Comfort, Omo and Dove as major contributors to the company’s performance, adding that significant growth opportunities still exist within the Ghanaian market.
Looking ahead, management says the company will continue investing in its portfolio and expanding its market reach, with the goal of increasing household penetration and sustaining growth while delivering long-term value to shareholders.
