Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare says he is using his experience at the 2026 FIFA World Cup as motivation to raise his performance levels ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper, who was part of Ghana’s squad for the tournament in North America and featured in three group-stage matches, said he remains focused on improving and proving his value to both Hearts of Oak and the Black Stars.
Speaking to the media, Asare said he is determined to reward the confidence shown in him by Ghanaian football fans with even stronger performances in the coming season.
“This is the time to prove to Ghanaians that I can do it,” he said.
The former Great Olympics goalkeeper noted that the support he has received from fans has increased his determination to continue performing at the highest level.
“Once it is my job, I must prove it anywhere because of the love and the way they cheer me. As of now, expect more from me next season,” he added.
Asare’s comments come as Hearts of Oak continue preparations for the new campaign, with the experienced goalkeeper expected to play a key role in the club’s ambitions for the upcoming league season.
