The Bono Region’s media fraternity has been plunged into mourning following the burial of popular Berekum-based radio presenter Justice Bernard Danquah, popularly known as ‘99K’.
Scores of media practitioners joined family members, friends and sympathisers at Jamdede, his hometown, to pay their last respects to the broadcaster, whose sudden death was described as a major loss to the region’s media landscape.
The mortal remains of ‘99K’ were laid in state at Jamdede for public viewing before he was later interred at the Amomaso public cemetery.
‘99K’, a former General Manager of Adikanfo FM at Jinijini in the Berekum West District, died in a motor traffic crash on Friday, July 25, 2026.
Until his death, he was the host of Adikanfo FM’s political talk show, where he was known for his engagement with political and public-interest issues.
His death has left a significant void among colleagues who remembered him as a respected radio presenter and a familiar voice in the region’s broadcasting industry.
