A heartfelt anniversary message veteran Nollywood actor Francis Duru wrote to his wife, Adokiye, celebrating 23 years of marriage has resurfaced following news of his death at the age of 57.
The message, in which the actor praised his wife for her sacrifices, patience and dedication to their family, has drawn renewed attention to the couple’s enduring relationship.
Duru’s family announced his death after a brief illness but did not disclose the specific condition that led to his passing.
In the anniversary tribute, the actor reflected on their years together, describing their marriage as a bond that had grown stronger over time.
“It’s 23 years stuck together, glued together… looks like yesterday,” he wrote.
He expressed gratitude to Adokiye for her commitment to their home, acknowledging the sacrifices she had made to sustain their family throughout their marriage.
“Dox, thank you so much for making it so worthwhile… your tolerance, perseverance, and your endless sacrifice for the family… Father, in all, you remain our anchor… our strong tower,” he added.
The actor also thanked God for blessing him with a supportive wife and a family he cherished, highlighting the importance of their relationship in his life.
