Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko is rallying his team for a spirited response as they return to the comfort of the TNA Stadium to take on high-flying Dreams FC on Friday night, with kick-off set for 18:00 GMT.
After a disappointing away loss to Accra Hearts of Oak last weekend, Tanko is eager to see his side bounce back in front of their fans—and he’s banking on their impeccable home record to do just that.
The Mauve and Yellows have turned the TNA Stadium into a near-impenetrable fortress this season, boasting five wins and one draw from six matches. That lone blemish came against league leaders Asante Kotoko, underscoring just how tough Medeama are on their own turf.
“This is our ground. We’ve made it a stronghold, and we’re determined to protect it,” said Tanko. “Yes, we’ve had tough moments on the road—even games where we dominated—but here, we are in control.”
Their task, however, is far from simple. Dreams FC arrive in explosive form, riding a wave of five consecutive wins and unbeaten in their last six or seven fixtures. The Believe Boys have climbed the table with a blend of flair and resilience, and they’re poised to test Medeama’s mettle.
Tanko acknowledged the form of the visitors but remained confident: “We respect the run they’re on, but this is our home. We need to make a statement, especially after the Hearts game. This match is about more than points—it’s about pride, consistency, and bouncing back.”
Friday night’s clash promises to be a pulsating encounter between two sides chasing momentum in the Ghana Premier League, with Medeama looking to reassert their dominance at home and Dreams FC seeking to extend their dream run.
