Authorities in Sokode Gbogame are stepping up efforts to restore calm and prevent future tensions following last Sunday’s violent clash between students of Sokode Senior High Technical School (SHTS) and local youth.
Three key figures who were arrested in connection with the incident—the Secretary and Fiator of Sokode Gbogame, as well as the Asafofia—have been granted bail, according to the area’s assembly member, Mac Billions Bansah.
In response to the unrest, officials have announced the formation of a committee to investigate the root causes of the conflict.
While the specific grievances that led to the clash remain undisclosed, the committee’s findings are expected to shape measures aimed at preventing further hostilities.
Meanwhile, security remains heightened in the area as community leaders, school authorities, and other stakeholders work collaboratively to rebuild trust and ensure long-term peace.
